Default Cheap mods

Anyone have a Piccolo and tired of the tail rotor loosening up? Or don't want to pay 7.00 for a collar for your main shaft? Great Planes makes shaft collars that will fit. Put one on each side and it takes care of that. They also have some that will fit the main rotor shaft. They are 1.29 for 4. Instead of the 6.99 or more other people charge for collars. And they have a larger screw so it will have less tendency to strip out. You should be able to get them at your LHS.
And i have broken my 2nd anti rotation arm. So i made an aluminum one. Shouldn't happen again.

Woah. That third picture shows that you have tricked out your bird about as far as you can go and stay FP. Nice setup!
Here is a pic of my old ARL after repairs. I purchased a new, so this is now my spare.

when you load the pic, load it in the "Upload images" at the bottom of the write window. It does it automatically.
Yea, i need CP. I also got tired of stripping fly bar arm control rod end screws so i trimmed the head and put in flat heads. I have a metal flybar that i took from my RapE tail pitch connector. I filed a small flat spot on each side where the control arm meets it so the screw hits a flat spot and gives more control and doesn't let loose. There are some really cheesy ways they have done things with these. I've done away with most of them.

Thanks for the cheap mods! I love stuff like this!

Here's one. Helihobby screws everyone by selling you $3.99 metal pinion gears for $6. I understand they need to make their money but the damn packages that the pinion gears come in actually say $3.99 LOL
They are nothing more than Orion Micro RS4 R/C car pinion gears that you can probably order from tower hobbies for even less than the 3.99
