I got sick of having the revo mix off by a bit here and there. I have tried to adjust it through trial and error but while I can tell at hover that it needs more or less rudder, I am never really sure what the throttle setting is. And looking at the transmitter to see the throttle setting on the mix display is dangerous.
So, I took pieces parts from around the work area and made a turntable. I used the gearbox from a litestik plane. Bearings with threads on one end of the shaft. I drilled a hole in the middle of a scrap piece of lite ply and bolted it on like a prop. I ran a pin through the mount to prevent the gearbox from pulling off the motor mount. I clamped the mount to a piece of wood, and clamped the wood to the corner of the table. This left the heli out in open air. I drilled some holes to let me rubber band the skids to the base and I was set to go.
I can now easily see what is happening at each throttle setting. I can take my time and get it perfect. I am rather tickled with this. Now I need to recharge the batteries and try out flight with the new settings.
