Default hummingbird problems

i've had two speed controllers burn up on my new h-bird. when i bought it i got the 3 cell 11.1 volt Li-Poly pack to run it. then i had to get a bigger tailmoter because the pack was too much for the stock tail motor. so now i have the EDF-40 high volt tail fan unit. as soon as i pluged in the battery after putting in the new motor, the tail motor went to full power and i cant contol it at all. my hobby shop and i have determined that the speed controller is bad. so does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of tail unit to use?

also, is it just me or is Century especially unhelpful and unsupportive of their products? i've had a lot of problems with all their equipment!

Default RE: hummingbird with Li poly

I have not had good results with the 3 cell LiPoly batteries in my Hummingbird. I burned out a tail motor and roasted my main motor. It was very lively for just two flights. The 2 cell 1500 Kokham is light and works well. Motors run much cooler.

Century has been good to me.
