Hey, I burned the fuse behind the board(the tiny solder) and I don't know how to replace it...
Any help will be much appreciated.

Can you provide a photo - i think you'll find that it is actually a Zener diode

Wow you've actually burnt out some of the tracking on the pcb

I have had a look at my board

Follow the black wire onto the board - big blob of solder, diagonally up/left is the beginnings of the track
inside your circled section the track runs straight across to the pad with 2 holes through to the other side of the board

If there is any of this pad left - you can cut 2 bery small pieces of wire, balance them in the holes & solder them in place
This will form a solder bridge - now you can solder a piece of wire from this bridge back to the black wie at the edge of the board

You will need a decent soldering iron, with a fairly small tip


Obviously if you've burnt this track out - there may be other problems

Have you checked that the motors are OK (on their own)

Can anybody add a picture of a healthy board....to compare?

I think I may be suffering the same problem. Mine looks the same but there is no burn mark.

Does anybody know what the three small silver drums on the other side of the board pictured above are?

The following is printed on two of them:

3CS
47
16V

These two are on the cable side of the board. The other, (different value,) is next to the white box at the other end.

What is the white box? Is it the gyro?

REASON I ASK is I am having problems with my board too. It is not supplying power to the tail rotor and my little red light wont go on.

I have found that the little drum thingy, (transistor?,) that is closest to the tail motor's black wire doesn't seem to register any output on my multimeter; whereas the drum above, (closest to Main Motor black wire,) it registers power output when I throttle up. And the numbers increase and decrease according to the direction of throw on the stick.

I feel that this drum thingy might be my problem. But I'm not sure.

If I am right I think it would be an easy soldering job, (maybe,) and might be a solution to many of the Tail/Circuit Board woes that I have read about. Maybe even save some falsely accused gyros?

What do you think ? ? ?

You think I can just short those two pads?

Picture of my board is atached - you can see the tracking and the pads

In your picture, you would be better off connecting the pads (if there is something to solder to) directly back to the edge of the baord where the wire is

(if you try to solder to the tracking it will probably lift away)
