Default Problem with trec & gy240

I just setup my new heli using separates. However, I couldn't get the tail motor to function correctly. It just won't run at all. The tail motor (new) is connected to trec esc, which in turn is connected to gy240 gyro (through signal wire only), and finally to the receiver. Whenever the heli is on, the red light on the trec esc just keep blinking. What is wrong here? Please help.

Sounds like the tail motor esc's not armed, after plugging in your battery, hold your stick just a tad left for a few seconds. Your esc should arm and you should be set.

Thanks. That was easy. After I armed it, the tail motor start spinning at a slow rate. I don't think it's caused by my transmitter. Is that normal with a heading hold gyro?

Ok. make sure you don't pull the stick too much to arm, just a tiny bit. This should cure that.

Also make sure all your revo mixing is off.
