Default RE: Li-ion charger

There are several low end chargers out there. The only one I have experience with is the Hobbico Quick Charger MK II, about $50. It doesn't do a great job but it will bring the Lithiums up to about 90-95%. My other Lithium charger is the Astroflight 109, about $130. This is an excellent charger. It brings the LiPo's up to EXACTLY 4.2V/cell and will discharge as well if you need to.

I havea Great Planes Triton. It gets losts of use on LiPolys. It will also discharge and also goes for around $125. This might bee too much though.

based on general consensus, the astro 109 is your best bet for a lipo only charger. i bought the charger ($125) and astro 13.5V PS ($70).

a charger like this would be great

http://www.allerc.com/product_info.p...oducts_id=1320

38$ plus shipping, or for $2 more, you can get one that will also charge nimh and nicads

you will also need to find a dc power supply (~13.8v and few amps) to power the charger

I have a 19 volt 4 amp DC power supply. Will that work for the Apache 2020?
I also have a 12 volt 1 amp. How will that work?

Is the MRC 969Pro charger the best for the money or features? Has anybody used the MRC charger before? Is their quality good? I like it that it comes with a dc power supply (wall adapter) and display screen for under $100

i think that charger only takes 15volts input tops
and 12v 1 amp sounds too low on amperage
