Megatech Housefly Question
Hi everyone Im looking into getting a megatech housefly but I came across the dragonfly #5 http://www.hobbyjapan2000.com/store/...p?prod=MINC100 . It seems to be the exact same helicopter just renamed and at half the price!
Can anyone give me some info on this and also is hobby2000japan a reliable place to get a helo
Thanks!

RE: Megatech Housefly Question
Hi goose77. The House-fly and the Dragonfly 5 are clones of the Hirobo XRB SR. The House-Fly is the better of the two, but neither are as good as the XRB. I have a HF and it flies very well. I have also gotten the Dragonfly Parts and they seem to be made from cheaper plastic then the Megatech parts. The newer version of the Dragonfly with real servos might be another option. If you can afford the XRB price that is the one to get.

RE: Megatech Housefly Question
Hi humvee,
Damn the XRB is awesome it looks very realistic, but the price is a bit steep for my first heli, Ill probably go with the housefly it seems like megatech parts would be easier to get. This is my first jump into flight rc and I know ill be breaking it alot. Can the Housefly carry a payload? The first thing I want to do is mod it with navigation and strobe leds.
Thanks for the help!

RE: Megatech Housefly Question
I have had 2 of the Dragonflies (both have dead electronics now but I did a lot of flying on both). I'm pretty sure what's been said in this thread is true although I've never seen a Housefly.
One thing I noticed on mine was that changing to a 1050 maH battery virtually doubled the lift. On mine, anyway. Just watch your motor temperatures and give it a cool down half way through.
