now i've done that.... thanks ... but the rudder has the same prob... it acts like the push rod is binding and the servo moves very slow and does not center. I replaced the factory servo with a new spektrum S-75 digital. What is going on?

Shouldn't the servo center and be faster in a static test?? I'm a newbie to heli's so i have no idea if this is normal

I'm on dialup, soooooo still waiting to see all the video. First be sure you have no rudder trim or sub-trim dialed in. I suggest plugging the servo directly into the rudder channel first to see if the servo centers after moving (I like these servos but have gotten the ocassional bad one). If it doesn't center, then disconnect the linkage to see if its the servo or a binding in the linkage. If it centers then, maybe you have too much gain or a bad gyro.
