crashed my rex, nothing major broke the ball link off the blade grip (going to get metal ones), local shop out or stock until new year

While you are waiting for the replacement, check a few things. Dis-assemble the head. Usually the feathering shaft bends in a blade striike, and often the main shaft bends.
Remove both. Get a piece of glass or mirror that you can lay on a table and roll the shaft between the glass and your finger. Look edgewise along the glass and watch the shaft as it rolls. If you can see a gap appear and disappear, then it is bent and you need replacements.
