I am completely fascinated with these R/C helis I am giving in. I just want the best for my money.
Esky honey bee, Esky Lama
or Eflight Blade cp or cx?
I have shuffled through the long posts on the each of these brands and I am torn between the two. The Eflight appears to be a bit more expensive than the Esky brand, is there a significant difference in performance or parts used?
Where is a reputable shop I can shop with? I have been looking at Ebay auctions but the majority of the vendors are from China and shipping is up wards of 30$. If at all possible I would like to avoid shopping with Ebay.

the honeybee cp2 is the same thing as the blade except it comes with a bell/hiller head, and typically with a lipo battery. I paid $124 + $40 shipping for mine, on ebay, from china. great service, would definitely buy from that seller again
benefit of the blade is that more local hobby stores carry parts, however many blade parts work on the honey bee aswell!

If you are a complete beginner go with the Blade. The Honeybee CP2 is a much hotter bird that you will find difficult to master. Better still would be a good simulator,G2 or 3 and the Blade CX. After you master the Blade then a CP2 would be a great step up.

I just got a Blade CP a couple weeks ago and ever since, I've broken it a number of times. The part in the back isn't very good and now it rattles and constantly needs an adjustment to the trim and the flexible plastic body each time I use it. I would not get this if you are a beginner like me and if you don't have the extra $150 (or something around that) to upgrade to stunt mode.
Now I wonder if the Blade CX or the Lama 2 (or V3 whenever that comes out) would be better for a beginner.
I also want to know from people that have either or all of these, which is better? Esky or E-Flight?

if you are just looking for something to learn on.. and want to fly around the house...
the CX is a bit better than the Lama... I have flown both.. and the CS, just flies a bit better...
they are good to learn on... I learned on a CP, and went through a few parts....
now I fly a Trex.. and love it, but the Trex isn't the best to learn on.....

I would go with a CP and get a simulator you just can't go wrong with that combo. As for a store go with heliproz.com or chiefaircraft.com both have GREAT service as well as follow up service as well. just a great buch of guys! Plus you get free shipping with both if your purchase is over $100.

I really appreciate all the input.
I have narrowed the option between 2 similar if not the same helis, but I am still on the fence between the blade cp and the honey bee cp2.
Blade cp (price 189$ shipped, out of stock ATM)
- doesnt come equipped with bell/hiller
-possibly has better quality control over the Esky
Esky cp2 (price 188$ shipped, in stock)
-equipped with bell/hiller (i know this makes things extra sensitive, but also gives room for growth)
It has been said that parts may be easier to find for the blade cp at your LHS, but I do most of my shopping online anyhow. I suppose for emergencies this would be a beneift as you may need something fairly quick. I am leaning towards the Esky cp2. What do you think?

I think since they are almost identical you could get most parts for the Honey Bee CP2 from your LHS that caries the Blade CP. The landing gear mounts slightly different and the bell hiller control has a few different parts I think. Most parts are apparently the same.
I am thinking the same thing. The Honey Bee CP2 is $150 cheaper when you compare it to the Blade + Lipo battery, aerobatic upgrade, and lipo battery charger. But I can walk out of the store with the Blade.
Good Luck
PS I have bought many parts for my DF4 from my LHS they stock for the Blade. Motors, heat sink, top link pins (Jesus Bolt), servo's, etc

J_Cube,
I'm a newbie myself. I found this website: http://www.dream-models.com/eco/flying-index.html
that helped me learn to hover. Before I found this, I killed many blades. Now I can hover, and practicing side-in.
The key is patience, go slow.
You CAN learn with the BladeCP (without breaking parts)
hopefully.
Good luck.

I just placed my order for the esky cp2 from ebay, total came to about $200 but they threw in a few freebies like main blades, training set, and tail blade. I was lead to believe that they would ship it as soon as payment was received, but they said to contact them in a couple days for tracking info. I am so anxious to get this heli .. I am dying. :P
