Default adjusting tail gyro gain

I shortened my tail boom by about an inch to compensate for the ducted tial fan i just tried out. It works great but needs to much trim and doesn't center as well as it did. Has anyone messed with the little gain pot on their gyro? Will it screw anything up if I play with it,which direction do I turn the pot? Thanks

Default RE: adjusting tail gyro gain

the gain affects the tail motor response to torque. I think you will need to adjust the proportion pot. By increaseing proportion will make the helo spin right, decrease proportion will make the helo spin left. Make very small adjustment each time only 1/16 of a turn or so.

And remember to unplug between changes then plug 4-in-1 back in to re-initialize. The 4-in-1 doesn't "see" the ajdustment until it's plugged in after the adjustment.
