Default Is this broken?

Made some progress today with my BCP - lots of hovering, and some back and forth forward flight. After a while, control was getting harder and harder, until it just dropped to the ground. After, I could not get it back off the ground. I brought it home and started trying to figure out what went wrong. I noticed the flybar was freely rotating about its longitudinal axis. I'm pretty sure its not supposed to do that... Should these collets be attached to the control frame?

Yup it has plastic tips on each side and the flybar goes thru it and the collets screw on to that and puts presure on the fly bar

Is it common for this to break? Today I had no crashes, just a couple hard touch downs. Could it have been weakend in previous crashes, then just simply gave out today? I think its also kind of odd that both sides broke at the same time. I'll probably buy two just in case.

LOL...well not to funny! I was working on mine, adjusting the pitch linkage after replacing the rotor head. When I was done, I found this small piece if plastic on the table. Not knowing what it was I set it aside. Later when I plugged in the battery to check my work, and then in the living room floor, I brought it up to speed. Thats when I niticed that something wasn't right. Picking up the blade I noticed that my swash plate was cockeyed. Bingo found what the piece of plastic was for![>:] It was for the backside of the swash plate. The little piece that rides in the channel to keep the swash plate straight. Broke it off flush with the guide channel. A toothpick and some CA fixed that problem
