Yes I bought a Falcon 3D heli. The first one had a tail rotor servo stripped out. I contacted Hobby Lobby and they sent me another heli. I got the second one and powered it up and hovered at a little less than ½ throttle for one battery pack (approx 7-8 minutes) and landed. The motor and speed controller were to hot to touch! After letting the unit cool off I plugged the battery back in and the speed control went up in smoke. I replaced the motor and speed controller with the first motor and speed controller and powered up again. this time I just let the motor run at about ½ throttle without liftoff. After about 4 minutes the motor quit running and will not run.
Both Falcons are now on there way back to Hobby Lobby (they have been very good to deal with thru all of this) and I will try one last time to get a good one. The heli seems to be well built , but just doesn’t have good electronics. Good Luck AlB

Hi ALBATRCUNIVERSE -
I must say that you sure are being objective and rational after have so much trouble through this, I commend both you and Hobby Lobby for making the best of a bad situation! (Must be the Pacific Northwesterner in ya ...
)
I hope this is an isolated incident or that they fix the problem(s) quickly, I just ordered one a week or two ago and am waiting on backorder for mine. I have heard good things about the Falcon from several other owners, yours is the first negative report (but extremely well handled as I noted).
The bad news is that now I'm hoping mine doesn't burn up like that ...
... the good news is that it sounds like HL stands behind their products and will do their best to make it right. (That helps, to some degree although thats a lot of shipping and waiting to go through)
I sure wish you the best of luck with this next one, The heli does look like it's made quite well other than that and seems to be a great improvement over the Revo, as far as the tail gear design and the ball type linkages instead of "Z" bend wire linkage(s).
If it's just the motor and ESC, then that can be remidied fairly easily by replacement of another (hopefully by Hobby Lobby). I imagine that HL has a lot riding on this and will nip it in the bud ... lets hope Art-Tech is responsive and remedies the root of the problem.
Thanks for your honest and unbiased report on this. I bet HL checks this one out throughly and hopefully you will have no further problems ...
... once again, I hope it works out for you, you deserve it after being this patient!
