hi all...
After having read some forums and lil research into this i have decided to get a e-sky honeybee cp2 as for my first helicopter. "(have been parctising in fms simulator for a month)". I know some say that for a beginner a blade cx or lama or picollo would be good but the thing is i cant just keep on buying heli cause am restricted to my budget so for me its gonna be a one time shot. Also i reside in india and finding a decent r.c heli is like finding ghots out here...hee hee...so i have to depend on online internet stores and bear extra charges for shipping+custom duty of 35% on the total cost of the heli. Well as am in india i had to find an online store located in asia(probaply near china and stuff) cause shipping would be low from there, and so i choose for this site hobbyjapan2000.com. As you guyz have a lot of experience regarding crashes and spare parts to own i am thinking to order these spare parts along with my cp2..kindly see to it if am missing something imporatant that i would be needing.
1.li po battery 2200mah
2.one set of training gear
3.tail motor
4.main motor
5.2 sets of tail blade
5.heat sink for both the motors
6.fly bars
7.skid set
8.2 sets of plastic rotor blades
9.pitch gauge
this is what i have thought of ordering along with my cp2..as i know a very little about what parts generally get damaged in a crash it would be a great help if you guyz could state the parts that are important and not in my list.
other things i would like to know...
Is my decession correct for buying the cp2 ?
i am going to order for a mode 2 model transmitter..is it correct?
will the 2200 mah battery be too heavy for the cp2?
Lastly has any one had experience with hobbyjapan2000.com and if anyone knows better online stores which are asia based say hong kong, china etc..cause its near to india and shipping would cost less.
hoping to get some help here...
regards
vikrant

For the CP2 I would recommend you get the following parts.
Main head - get at least two of them
Blade grips - an extra set should do it.
Flybar seesaw - get a few of them. Ive broken countless numbers of these.
What normally happens with the CP2 is that you break a ball link off of one of the above parts rendering it useless.
Of course blades, tail motors, flybar, skids and canopies are other parts you may need.

The 2200MAh is probably a bit heavy, and is more capacity than you probably need. A 1200MAh will be a good choice for the CB2. You can get at least a 20 minute run time with the 1200MAh and it will not be too heavy. I have a 1200MAh and a 890MAh.

The CP2 is tough to fly, I am a beginner in helis too and like you I had budget concerns about buying one to learn on and then one to fly. I bought the CP2 thinking I would learn on it and then like to fly it. It is VERY twitchy at first. You will break stuff. I have been through a couple skids now, a main gear, and a 4-in-1 unit. If you crash, immediately pull the power back. If you try and give it throttle and the main rotor doesn't spin - immediately pull power. I overheated and cooked my 4-in-1 by not doing this.
I have considered selling mine for a blade cx to learn on...

hi ryan_m...i guess then the cp2 is not right for me...is it too unstable for a beginner like me...should i go for a fp then a cp...and as i have read cp2 is a rtf(ready to fly) but is it required to trim a lot before flying it... i have never owned a heli before so if it is required to trim a lot then i guess i'll be facing a lot of problem as i dont have anyone for assistence and support except forums like these... really confused as to what i should buy.....
