From your comments you have read the posts.
The first thing you need to do it the fuse mod.
Yo should have read about it.
Just install a8 amp fuse in one wire between the main motor and the 4 in 1
THis will save you buying 4 in 1's that will burn up if you crash and leave the throttel on

I'm thinking we need to make a list of what works on the version 2? I think super skids work, but I'm not 100% sure. I don't think the cnc head works, but I'm not so sure? The only common mod that I know for sure will work and is a "must do" is the battery mod.
And what was fixed in version 2 that it's no longer required to use an after market solution?

Makes me hesitate to answer questions like this - don't want to suggest super skids etc and then have the guy upset 'cause I wasted his money.

Are the esky lama blades compatible with the falcon 40? I don't think they would seeing that coaxials generally have smaller blades relative to single rotor birds.

Falcon 40, walkera 4 series, blades are intrechangeable.
No the Lama series blades will not work.

Parts cross over v1 to v2 list lets all see what we can come up with it.

The frames are intrchangeable so Super Skids will work.
Just follow the directions below
There are two adaptor plates one front and one rear of the frame that modify the frame to accept the new style landing gear.
Just remove the two plates and it will fit the Super Skids.

Hey Navy/Walter...

Looks like even the WalMart greeter job can have it's bad days.

[link]http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/34621703#34621703[/link]

Takes some mighty big cajones to beat up a 70 yr old walmart greeter - and he must've felt like a gelding there at the end.

I wouldn't get upset...I know about the super skids but im not sure i need them yet.  These new skids on v2 seem fairly durable.  I managed a spectacular crash today when on the first battery i was trying little hops in the front yard and before i knew it it was 20ft in the air.  I tried to lower the throttle and bring it down easy but it pitched forward and came down in the street.  1st battery I managed to put a hole in the canopy and break the blades.  I need to use Radds Flight School and learn to fly before trying the high stuff again.  Did the fuse mod and managed to blow a 7.5A fuse so saved the electronics on day 1.  I also ordered 2 spare batteries.  This is going to be expensive.

Expensive????
You have only just begun, here is a list from ove the past two years.
Falcon 40 heli, spare parts for the Falcon, LI-PO conversion Li-Po charger, and a trip to Mexicofor M at USHS, newBelt CPv1, DX6i, Carbon Fiber frame, 40+ sets of blades, full CNCconversion.More spare parts for the Belt CP, M went to Las Vegas.
I wonder where M will go this spring?
Probably stay close to home this yearas I have been crashing less.

Welcom to the addiction.

You have done your reading! Radds is the way to go, that's how I learned to fly.

As for your other question, the 2.4 is less prone to interference then the 72 MHz.

Yep I ordered a set of heat sinks, and 2 more batteries.  I also ordered the AC6 Charger for it.  Spent an hour tonight on Radds box spin up.  Lots of vibration and motor goes from stopped to spinning very fast.  I also had an imaginary box because my wife would kill me if i put chalk on her floor.  I ordered the flight sim but believe i could have saved my money.  I had driven an rc car before and know right left.  There is a whole lot more to learn with the heli.  So what is the cheapest blade supplier?  Or is it better to buy the xtreem wood blades from Mike.  (BTW i did not read this entire thread but I did read all but about 25  pages.)

I think in time you'll find that the sim was a very good investment.

I've been flying fixed wing for many years. I can land a fixed wing, which means I can fly nose in. I really thought a heli would be easy. I didn't buy a sim at first - thought it would be a waste of money. Man was I wrong. The heli is so unstable even in ideal circumstances. I don't think I would have ever made it to the hover stage without a sim.

The $20.00 sim that I bought when i got the heli was not the best choice.  FMS is so unrealistic.   I should have bought Realflight for Christmas this year and waited on the heli?  That may have been cheaper in the long run.

FMS is a free sim, dl it from US Hobby, etc. For 40 buck you could have got this.

Yeah - that was the cheapest shipping option. Goes up to 18 bucks. And those things weigh .3 (that's point 3) grams ea.

Don't get me wrong - I appreciate that you responded and helped find a place - not upset with you at all. And if I needed an assortment of stuff the shipping might be ok, but for just these guys - no way.

Local hobby store had some that looked perfect except the hole or the "ball" was too large.

Spent an hour tonight on Radds box spin up. Lots of vibration and motor goes from stopped to spinning very fast. I also had an imaginary box because my wife would kill me if i put chalk on her floor.
I had an old drafting board that I created a masking tape box on. That way, I could pick it up when I was done.

Does the vibration settle when you get the rotor up to "speed"?

Karilk
that is why we put the US Armed Forces as greeters is i remember Walter was in the Army lol.

I used Ehirbo for 2 X-copter canopy's for my belt(witch look great) 14.00 for 2 canopy's and 7 dollors shipping for me is not a issue living were i do i have come to expect it.

UShpbbysupply usely has great deal's on blades. that is who i use

as for the SIM you need one trust me. this is why "M" doesn't get to go to Hawaii i don't brake as much lol sorry "M" maby this year i am flying a lot more now. I use RealFlight 4.5. there is a basic addition and Ver 5.0. FMS isn't bad there is also clearview and Phonex all will work I like real flight i practice at least 1 hour a day until my kids broke my radio for the sim but they are going to replace it welcom to the hobby

yes, the vibration disappears at speed.  Thanks for the quick reply about the blades.  I broke another blade today.  The HB blades are under $4.00.  The Falcon blades are $7.00.  I hovered much better after 1 battery using Radds.  The practice keeping the tail straight helps. I will go back to the flight school tomorrow.  I bought one of these for my son too so now he needs skids and a flight bar.  Skids are $3.00 so I am holding off on $25 super skids.

FYI I am saving my pennies for Realflight.  I don't know how well it will run on my Mac though.

DANG IT - forgot you have the version 2 falcon.

I'm pretty sure the honey bee will fit, but not 100 %.. I know they fit the v1 falcon, but I'm not sure if they were changed for v2. I think gonna quit answering questions - the v2 is gonna get me in trouble

How can I reinforce the tail boom holding part of the frame? I'm kinda disappointed a 3' drop did what it did.

US Hobby Supply has frames on sale Buy 1 Get 1 Free.
https://www.ushobbysupply.com/product_info.php?products_id=54

I use JB weld to reinforce the joint. Helps some. But will still eventually break.
I am sure there as many ways to reinforce the tail holder on the frame as there are fliers.

Any other reinforcing ideas guys.
