Kurt10,
If you don't have outside help and don't want to join a club, you need Radds School of Rotary Flight. It takes several days to get through all the lessons and many battery packs. Go very slow with the CP, it's somewhat difficult to learn on but can be done if you take the time and patients to do it. It's a great hobby, took me almost 2 months to get comfortable with it. You have to be patient if your a beginner. You will crash, we all do. It's all in a learning curve.
Here's the Radds site: http://www.dream-models.com/eco/flying-index.html
Good luck and take 'er slow,
Dave / Choppersrule

Lamrob,
It took me several weeks to get a solid 10 second hover in the box. That was almost a year ago, now I can hover all day without a problem. It all takes time and patience. Be cool and go slow. Also, everyone has a different learning curve, some get it right away and some take a little longer. Don't get frustrated. Stat with Radd's if you don't have any outside help.
Good Luck, keep us posted on your progress,
Dave / Choppersrule

I've found the Battery 1 page of RADD's is the most important.
Until you can control the plane precisely, trying to fly will result in wild swings when trying to fly outside.
