Esky Robins 22 - loss of stability after 3 upgrades
I installed 3 Esky aluminum upgrades on my Robins ;
EK5-0209 Swashplate
EK5-0207 Bottom Central holder set
EK5-0206 Central hub and shaft set
after the installation, the heli could not maintain stability. instead of
hovering, the stabilizer seems to lag and the heli begins to circle in an ever-increasing circumference. I tried
increasing/decreasing the throw on the stabilizer as well as adjusting the
servos.
is this a known problem with one or more of the upgrades? do you have any
suggestions on getting it as stable as it was when it was rtf out of the box?

RE: Esky Robins 22 - loss of stability after 3 upgrades
hrm... generally you just want to do one upgrade at a time so that if you have a problem you know specifically what it goes to. Sometimes this "toilet" bowel can come from the bottom blades providing more lift than the top blades. The most you can do is ruin a set of $4 blades to try it out. Just try to take a very small amount of the pitch out of the bottom blades without deforming them. Or you could just try a new set of bottom blades if you have them handy and see if that does it.
ALso it could be that the top blades are not providing enough lift, so you might try changing those out too....
It could be something else like you need to lube those new CNC parts with a 3 in 1 oil (don't use wd40)

RE: Esky Robins 22 - loss of stability after 3 upgrades
Thanx for the response. I did replace all blades when I installed the upgrades. Taking your advice, I will put back the original parts and verify stability. Then I will install each upgrade one at a time to isolate what could be causing the "toilet bowl" motion. Unfortunately, I keep my heli at work, so I will update my findings Monday.
