could i use the equipment that comes with the e-flite blade 400 rtf to power a helimax mx450 arf?
here's the specs on the blade 400:
Completely assembled and test flown at the factory
Capable of sport flying and 3D aerobatics right out of the box
Includes Spektrum’s DX6i 2.4GHz DSM2 6-Channel computer programmable transmitter and factory-installed AR6100e Microlite receiver
DS75 Digital Sub-Micro servos and G110 Micro Heading Lock gyro offer precise and powerful control
420H brushless motor, 25-amp brushless ESC and 3S 11.1V 1800mAh 20C Li-Po battery deliver incredible power and performance
CCPM control with push-pull elevator and direct-to-swash aileron/pitch linkages
here's the specs for the mx450 REQUIRES:
Radio: 6-channel helicopter system with four micro size servos
(FUTK60**)
Gyro: (FUTM0809)
Brushless Motor: 2700-3000kV with 14T pinion gear OR 3500-400kV
with 13T pinion gear
Electronic Speed Control: Brushless motor type, 35+A
Battery: Lithium Polymer 11.1V, GPMP0841

the 450 is slightly larger so you may not have enough power to fly the mx450 to the best of it's ability if you move over the 400 motor and esc. You should be able to use the servos, gyro and radio tx/rx though.

What about the Hobby Lobby Dragonus?
It is a 400 class 3d so would the servos still work do you think?
The Blade 400 does some pretty crazy stuff.

You are referring to the new blade out and not one of the cp's correct?
The radio gear probably swaps over without too much trouble but I think you are probably going to run into issues with gearing/headspeed and would need to track down the right pinion(s) to get the desired rpm.
Then, if you are making the motor work too hard to fly the mx you will likely cook something. I haven't seen either of the two helis in person so I can't give you much info on how the swap would go aside to say it sounds like you are going to butcher a relatively new heli for another.
What's the story behind the blade? haven't heard too much about it yet but it looked promising. I would tend to think that the mx is larger and would require (or at least perform better) with equipment matched for it.
Check out your own post....blades esc 25a and the minimum requirements for the mx are a 35a + esc.
Did you already buy the new blade? How's it fly?

No I think I will probably end up getting a Helimax MX400 Pro with the combo package off of tower. My big brother was going to get the Blade 400, so I thought I would get a different one so we could switch every once and awhile to get the hang of different helis.

not a bad idea but getting the same heli would help with parts, you could just get a bunch of parts together and whoever needs a certain part can use it. Also, if you have the same heli you could buddy box (with a cable)
