you know how it is. new model (in this case feda dragofly) - want to learn to fly, put it all together and then...
it doesn't seem to work. the servos work fine but there is no power the motors.
i plug the battery in and the LED on the speed control flashes red. it then flashes green and red and stays like then until i turn the transmitter on. the LED on the speed controller then turns red and nothing else happens. i've tried playing with the gain etc on the gyro but nothing seems to help.
any ideas??
cheers

The flashing green and red on the board means that there isnt a TX signal nearby.
You MUST ALWAYS switch on the TX before connecting the battery on the heli. If not it might just go off at full power, truxt me its not pleasant
The LED turning red is because the low point on the TX throttle is too high or more likely the stick is the 'wrong way round' and needs to be reversed if the TX can do that. Basically the TX must be switched on and the throttle must be at the lowest point when you connect up the heli batt. The LED should then flash while it intialises and if all is ok it will become green.
Hope this helps.

Youre welcome. You might want to find yourself a reliable source for parts... I know i needed some.
If you havent seen this, its well worth a read, i know its a different heli but the advice is very good and getting the thing set up right will help loads. http://www.pgoelz.com/piccolo_faq.html
