Hey all......Real life pushed me out of rc for the last 3-4 years and I'm getting back into it. I have a piccolo FP and a LMH Corona 120. This weekend I started getting all my things together and could not find the batteries for my Piccolo. I went to my local shop and was informed these are way out dated and they don't carry parts for them anymore. He also stated the new ones are much more stable. I was never to good with this one. Knowing I will be crashing and repairing anyways, I wonder if I should just start over? I'm looking at the Esky Co-Commanche. Anyone know how this compares with the older Piccolos? Is my Piccolo even worth anything? It is in perfect shape and has the Picco-board. Thanks.
PS: This is mainly for use in the basement or garage.....Occasional driveway with zero wind. If I go to the park it is the LMH.

The current FP helis fly identically to the FP Piccolo. Stability comes from proper setup and component selection.
Now if you are going to step up to a CP machine like the T-Rex or Blade CP, then there IS a stability increase.
Yes, parts are going to be less well distributed, but a quick search on the web showed suppliers.
As for a comparison between a single rotor FP heli like the Piccolo and a dual rotor heli like the co-comanche, there is no comparison.
The FP Piccolo is a very difficult heli to fly. Robust, but difficult to fly. Once you have learned to fly a FP micro, you can fly anything.
Co-axial, counter rotating helis are so easy to fly, many people find them boring. They virtually guarantee success, but do very little to prepare you for flying other helis.
