the heli flys great out of the box and no mods are needed at all! anything you add will be bling and bling only.

the only thing the TT is good for is if your worried about static build up

Ditto on that. It fly's great stock. The newer kits have a belt and new tail blades (white) that does not seem to make the static that was noted early on. I did put a Jazz ESC just because I love the spool up they have. I have had no problems at all and fly it almost every day with a DX7 and 6200 rx. I have been ordering some bling while stocking up on spare parts, but I think I am going to just order another 500 to put it on to look pretty. LOL

When I found out that one of the largest RC helicopters (Yamaha RMax) has a belt to turn the tail rotors, I stop worrying about the possibility of "upgrading" to a torque tube on any of my helis.

I was considering the TT for the 500 in order to get away from the "static" problem but was told that the lash of the plastic gears are now a problem. I am staying with the brelt for now.
