GY401 with JR DS3400G on 450 class
Hey all. I've recentally been in some conversation with some other board members about this gyro servo combo. After doing some research it has been uncovered that the 401 doesn't mesh well with the JR servos due to a difference in frame rate, however, it seems that the problem is most prevalent with the JR DS8900G super servo class and the 401. I have been now running the 401/3400g combo on my Exi 450 for 89 flights and haven't had so much a a hiccup in operation. What is the general consensus on this combo? How many of you are using it also and have you had any problems in the realm of servo meltdown in flight?

that's a nice combo! i never tried the JR brand of servos yet (expensive). How does it compare with the 9650/9257 combo? I've been wanting to get the ds285mg servos for cyclic and the ds3517 for tail with the spartan gyro. [sm=tongue_smile.gif]

I really like the 401/3400g combo. hold the tail like a rock even in 20mph wind I was flying in the other day. I can't really compare as I have not used the futaba's on the tail before. I just wonder what others experiences have been with this combo after all the talk lately about the 401 burning up the Jr servos.
