Default 3 ch metal frame {V-Max}

I've got 1 of these and it is a good little flyer.But mine is much easier to fly backwards than forwards.It is faster in reverse and has more positive control.I have tried adjusting the pitch of the horizontal tail rotor but it gets to a point when increasing the pitch, that thrust reduces.
Any ideas for "tweaking"?
