RE: blade 400 gyro help
Hey Chris
I'm in Perth and due over to Sydney at some point in the near future (prob North Rocks way), I tend to stay in Parramatta - Beer for training sounds like a plan.
I thought someone may have replied re you Gyro issue but my guess is you just need to set up the tail again. there is way too much to go into in a message her but safe to say you porbably need to watch a Finless Bob video on HeliFreak (you'll have to regsiter first).
Basically however you need to set up the tail mechanically first - this is done by hovering with the Gyro in Rate mode (switch down) and adjust the tail pushrod length till it holds straight - then you will need to switch back the Heading Hold (switch up) and adjust the gain in the radio. You will need to adjust down in percentage gain to reduce the wag. BUT.... and this is a big but... there are a number of factors that will cause the tail to oscillate, some random and others like gain are a steady oscillation. Things like a loose or over-tight tail drive belt, tight linkages, bent shafts and gyro or radio settings.
if you start from scratch and set up correctly not only should you nail the wag but also begin to undersatnd the interaction of all these factors.
Also try this link which talks about Gyro gain and the set up (which way to adjust for left or right drift etc). It's not for a G110 Gyro but the principles are the same:

I hope this helps and PM me if you want to catch up - I am oly a little bit ahead of you in skill but I have learnt a lot! Oh, and if you haven't done so yet - check out this page: http://www.slyster.com/heli/b400bible.html
