Default Hover range on the throttle stick is so narrow

I've been trying to hover my HB but I can't get it right it's either going up or coming down no matter how gentle I use the throttle. Seems that the throttle stick range for hover speed is so narrow that I miss the spot most of the time. It's difficult to hover the heli indoor with the current setup and I don't want to draw balck circles on ceiling again.

I wonder if this can be easily fix if I have a better radio with throttle 5 points curves? Maybe I should get a heli radio so I can get a better motor with 2 separate escs? Other controls seem to be fine. Is this because the HB board does not have exponential throttle setup. Or maybe just because I don't know how to fly this thing yet.

found the same problem.

wonder if the autorotation mod for the main flywheel helps with the sudden drop when you remove a little power?
