Today was the maiden flight of Bernie's B-52. Used up most of the rwy for takeoff but liftoff was very scale like as was the entire flight. Landing was ok but one gear broke out on touchdown. Fortunately there were 5 more. Even at 33 lbs it's a floater! Pics show the builder (in striped shirt) and the test pilot (kneeling).

Kudos to you and Bernie! Awesome! Brings back many memories of my 4 years and 9 months in the USAF. As an Air Policeman in the SAC Command, I spent many hours "counting" the rivits under the wings of those B-52's and KC 135's at Ramey AFB, PR, back in the 60's!

This model has 4 flights on it. Bernie has nearly completed #2, with many improvements...

Check out this YouTube compilation that includes the B-52...

Here is the latest and greatest "update" on Bernie's masterpieces. These pics and video were done at the recent "Aces in the Hole" electric fly in Vegas...

Oops! My bad! I was missled by what Saturn named the thread; "B-52 EDF". I just assumed he was inviting comments on EDF B-52s out there...

No problem keep pics coming, just trying to keep Saturn5 on a roll. Saturn, will the storm stop the production line? Just bought a set of plans from MyUncleWillies for $10.

Very nice build. Was this from a set of plans or a scratch build? If from plans, where can I can a copy from.

Saturn's looks to be scratch built. Am I wrong saturn? I found a set of B-52 plans here. Be warned, plan is $10 but will cost you to have it printed. It ends up around 36 inches by 14 feet long total of both sheets.Plastic nacelles can be had at www.parkflyerplastics.com and ***************** page 26.

Wonder if Saturn is effected by storm?

Bernie's B-52s are TOTALLY scratch built. He starts by establishing the "scale" with what motor/fan unit he plans to use, generates his own plans and goes from there...
A remarkable man indeed.
