A-10 55mm Twin 4500kv, Twin ESC 30A Plush
Hi guys
My english is not perfect but ill try
Finally i received my twin engines 4500kv and my 2 Turnigy 30A plush Esc
Before i place them on my plane i tested them first .Both Esc in parallel , Y connection to the Rx
i removed one red wire from one esc . Settings on Esc are default exept the timing , its high( its correct?)
The problem is after 20seconds at full throtle the ESCs are very very hot , so i turn it off, iam afraid that they
start to burn or something. Pls what are the solutions? The ESC 30A is too low?? Maybe twin ESC 40 A will be fine?
Please help
Thanks

hi Gary
Thanks for fast reply
The motors are outrunner, its a A-10 , i bought them on ebay ( lol )
there is no information about max current , you think i still change timing to low?
And what about the 2 Escs? Should i replace them for 40A?

Ok Gary about the ESC 40A what you recomend? With BEC together? PLUSH?
or just a normal brushless 40 A esc? Il get 2 anyway to use parallel with Y connection

Turnigy Plush series are pretty good ESC's....as are HobbyWing and Exceed. If you use 4 or more servos, I recommend NEVER use any built-in BEC...most of those are linear which generate a good deal of heat.. I use a separate UBEC in all of my E-powered stuff and pull the red wire out the the receiver connector out of those ESC's that come with a built in BEC.

The only way you will know you have a proper edf configuration is if you have a WATTmeter.
In electrics this is a MUST, otherwise you will be guessing and burning stuff.
With china electronics brand products to be in the safe side double your requirements. Your edf motor pulls 30 amp max get a a 60 amp esc.

Juan and Gary thank you very much to share your experience with me
Yes , this is a risk i have to take , the airframe will be more heavy
with both 60A esc plush but the engines are very powerfull for the Guan li A-10
When the Escs arrive ill test it and try to flight.
Il give you the results, hope i can give you good news
Thanks
