I have a Parkzone Habu 2 and need to replace one of the aileron servos. Does anyone know what servo the stock model used? Also, are the existing servos easy to get out?
Thanks in advance for any help

Detach the servo cover plate by removing the 4 Japanese Standard (JS), not Phillips, screws. The servo is probably held in place by a silicone-type adhesive. I once broke an output arm on the aileron servo and replaced it with a spare. The servo was left in place and I poked a hole through the foam to access the servo arm retainer screw. The servo itself was left in the wing.
The servo type is listed in the Habu II Instructions and is probably one of the E-flite micro servos. Check the Horizon Hobby website and search RC Airplanes/Jets for the Habu II. A full listing of spare parts is shown and you can order a replacement servo from Horizon or your LHS. Hope this helps.

You would be better off by replacing both servos and upgrading them to better quality ones as the stock servos in these models are pretty inferior and it's unlikely you would find identical one, J.

You can use dental floss under the servo to cut through the adhesive releasing the DSV130M aileron servo. You'll have to pull up the white tape covering the servo lead to the wing center. Depending on the length of the replacement servo lead, you may have to solder the new servo lead to the existing lead. Also, I have not found the E-flite DSV130M servo to be inferior in flying my original Habu for over 4 seasons. Let us know how you make out.
