Now fitted with the new 90mm multi blade 'SM' power unit on 8S. What a difference in sound, enjoy.

After few 8S upgrades I got stuck with FW90mm EDF units, as an experiment I fitted one to this PROTO running for the first time on 6S only, with huge 9Ah lipo, same AUW as my original 12S power system but only much slower tho flight time twice as long.

Last action before changing my power plant.
After flying it on 8S and its huge current draw I'm going back to 6S to make most of my large collection of 6S packs. This is just about perfect model for it.

Just few of the power plants this Prototype was running on over the years.

Now fitted with the 8S set up, L. after the last 6S unit on R. New 3D printed bell rings.

With the new thrust tube.

ESC reprogramming to suit new power system.

First day out.

Perfect flare.

In action.
Another change over after getting hands on this full metal 90mm power unit, running on 8S, sounds pretty nice, enjoy.

Couple of Protos after the flying action.
Second day out action with my newly "Mercury" powered Prototype, sounds rather nice, just as quiet as my "Delta/Proto" with "SM89" running slightly hotter on 10S.

Greets from down here, flying off beaches is magic, tho, the tides are not always in your favor so I constantly watch out for 'lows", today flying model helicopter for a change that doesn't need much flying space.
How's the snow? Still got some? I used to ski in resort not far away from you. Cheers.

Another exiting day at the flying field with my "Proto", first flight all good, (vid. att.) next flight had close encounter with the "roo" while taking off, unfortunately it hopped the wrong way putting its foot right through the wing of my jet.
Back on the work bench to do some repair, also requiring some art work paint job.
(Mercury Proto in CHC)

Could have been lot worse, it was a 5&1/2 footer!

Under the new coat of paint.

Back in action.
Back in service again after the wildlife impact, model is fully repainted top&bottom with the damage hardly visable.

Mayday-Mayday, loss of power, need clearance to land. Doom and gloom day, wet and windy, soon after take off full loss of power with 90mm/8S Mercury unit, nt sure if it's the ESC or the power plant, needs thorough check on the bench.

After close inspection, there is some signal issue with the 180A/ESC, judging by the light signals after power hook up but no audible 'beep' sound. Might have to send it back to China for a service after their lock down ends.
In the mean time I'm replacing it with smaller 160A CC unit.
