pusher prop VS edf ???

(if my pusher prop set up spits out 42 ounces thrust and 79mph static pitch speed , then how can an edf with only say 25 ounces thrust but a greater pitch speed be faster?)
I've been building and flying my own pusher prop planes for about a year and am pretty good(I think). I started with a zagi then eventually built my own version of an electric ddust with a pusher prop.this thing is fast (maybe 85-100mph).
my question is this, which is faster a pusher prop or edf. my set up is this mega 16/15/3, 60 amp phoenix esc, apc 5.7x3, and lithium polymer 4s2p(irate cells 10c- 44 amp max). this gives about 12 min with throttle control, and high speed fun.
I don't want to go higher then 40 amps, because I,m pushing my 16/15/3 as it is, and I want to stick with using the 4s2p pack or my other 3s3p(30 amp max draw).
I have a kyosho t-33 ducted fan how would this fair with the 4s2p and 16/15/3.
any help would be great as this electric ducted fan stuff Is all new to me

I'm right with you. I've been doing the same thing. I started out, actually, with a mugi. It's kid of like a flying dorito. I kept changing the shapes and weight till they finally looked nothing like the original mugi. The original mugi designer is in England. I think his website is: www.mugi.uk.com. Check it out on google.com. The dude with this design is totally cool. It's kind of how I started out in this whole thing. These flying triangles are made of coroplast.
A quick story about their durability: It flys on left and right ailerons. One of them broke at about 350 feet while flying above San Diego Bay. It spiraled down to the Bay rather quickly with a generous splash frightening a drunk street person. When I ran over to see if I could find it, I was told......... "it landed over there somewhere", said the drunk person. I laughed and said thanks. A jogger running by said he also saw about where it crashed and said he would fish it for me with his boat he had docked just on the other side of the Bay. I was late to work, so I had to leave. Anyway, he took his boat out and pulled the thing out!!!. He gave it to one of our club members the following day and it was given back to me due to its recognizable airframe. I'm the only one with this coroplast stuff at the field!
Believe it or not, After a few minor repairs, it was flight worthy again. lololololool.
Anyway, Ive got a Mega 16/15/3, a jeti 70A controller, as well with a Kyosho fan all placed inside an EAF super F18. I've been running this on 8 and 10 cell 1300scr's. It's the only brushless speed controller I have, so I use it. All the mugi-mutations vary from 570mm to 1.5M. They all use cheap can motors with cheap everything else. It keeps it fun. Also, I'm only pulling about 40 amps on this motor and all appears fine.
Bottom line, it's fast enough that it's nearly uncontrollable. I've got enough experience with building and such that I feel pretty confident, though.
