I am totally new at electic flight. I have just ordered a HET-RC - Typhoon EDF 2W brushless motor for a new EDF jet (HET RC f-18) that I'm building. I would like to use lipo's for a power source (or at least that's what I think I want to use...). I'm not sure what battery to get at this point. I know the voltage range (7.2 - 11.1), but nothing else. the specs for the motor is at:

about half way down the page. I also would like a suggestion for a ESC...35-45 amp...
Thanks for any help you can give me!

Musicman I'm running a 3S2P lipo setup 4200 TP pack and a CC 45A ESC while I still run the Mega 16/15/3 I have the 2W I'll be replacing it with. Stay with a good 45A ESC and stay with the instructions in the kit as to placement of the ESC and you will enjoy your bug. Vario

keeping in mind I'm a complete new-b, are all 3s2p equal? will 4000mah work? less, more? also, what flight time can I expect?
Thanks so much for the help guys, this is my first electric anything (let alone EDF), so I'm completely lost!
Plane gets here friday though, so I'm excited!
