I've built a GWS A-10 with brushless motors,Li-Po batteries,micro retracts,reinforced wing.
My question is,if I build a single stab with ruuder on the back of the fuselage will the hog still fly OK?
Just one stab instead of two in other words. It has a steering servo for ground control and I could use the ruuder as I fly from a narrow runway. It would be strange looking I know but would save weight and be functional. Please any thoughts, opinions, and reference would be helpful.

Don't bother with the rudder. Doesn't need it. Mine flew fine with the stock airframe. Damn tree branch got in the way...Save the weight. You have the nose wheel steering servo. That's plenty to control it on take off and after it touches down. Believe me, landing the plane in the little wind that it can fly well in anyway, will not cause a crab angle that'll break the gear off. The model is kite in anything over 7 mph breeze with the stock powerplant...even with the larger motors. Leave the fins the way they are and forget the rudder. You'll be fine.

Thanks for the input,I was worried about ground steering having no rudder.Would look kinda funny with only one vertical fin anyway and I have put more time on this plane than any other foamie.Just thought with the servo already there might try but it will stay it's true self now I have had time to picture my funny finned flyer.
