Default HET Typhoon EDF 2W on Vasa 65?

Hi guys

I'm currently looking at power packages for the Vasa65 fan, and am very attracted to the HET Typhoon EDF 2W (not the -18 or -20). However, an online fan calculator showed a current of almost 43 Amps, while the motor is rated at 38A max. Does anyone have any info on this Motor/Fan setup?

Best regards
Hank

Default RE: HET Typhoon EDF 2W on Vasa 65?

I am using the Typhoon 2W to drive a Kyosho (~75 mm) fan. With a 2S2Px2600 LiPo, the motor draw 42 amps at full throttle. I don't think it is a problem for short, full power runs. I only use FT at hand launch, reducing the throttle once "on step"

The same motor driving an MF480 with a 3S lipo draws ~32 amps
