I have read in Quiet & Electric Flight international that it will be a plan review in the very near future.
saw here fly last year at Woodsprings electric flyin excellent now Chris has re engined her

Little while ago i ended up getting intouch with Mr.Gould himself through email, he stated that he hasn't made any plans as yet for his Concorde and have no near future plans to generate plans either. So this puts all our hopes down as i have been trying to get all the necessary documentation needed to build with beast but its wing is biggest problem to solve!..No one seems to know what airfoils are used on real ones so RC versions of airfoils could be made possible...

The Avro Vulcan bomber is a very close layout & flying requirements to the Concorde. British modeler forums can give you a airfoil that will work. My 60" Vulcan has a very close relative to a Clark Y.
When in doubt MAKE the outer most ribs have a MUCH lower stall speed. By using a different airfoil or tipping the trailing edes up. Either will do. Nobody cares. Except you when a tailwind gust in a turn causes the main wing sections to lose lift. Kneeling down next to our planes pieces, chokes me up badly.

Thanks for this tip, i never thought of this before as i am sure it's worth to look at also. Only thing that comes to mind is the huge thickness of Vulcan's wing root airfoils as compared to Concorde's, i guess thickness could be cut down to comfortably match Concorde's with enough left to make good slower landings without stalling but with appropriate speed.
I guess washout at tips is what you are referring to by tilting up the TE of the tip's airfoil.

Just saying that I build solid blue foam planes. No lightening holes anywhere. 1 piece of thin plywood for a landing gear spar. 400 brush motors & VPX cells or A123's.
Build her any way you like with almost any airfoil . I light the flat bottom Clarke Y. It stretches a glide & is easy to build with the flat bottom.
It will always be less than 1 pound / sq. ft.
Low speed is more like landing a kite in a gentile breeze. These Deltas float forever at loww speed.
When you do your first landing approach you should feel like. Will it ever land ?

Hey Guys,
It's been a while now, well i have some good news for all Concorde lovers/fans out there.
Finally after years of research and planning now i'm in process of making 1:14th EDF powered model of this majestic "Queen of skies" on another forum. Most of the main structural design work is almost complete on CAD, once i get the cad files, i will get them printed and start the build with in next couple weeks at the most. Presently few of us are mind bending on making scale 3 point drooping nose with functional Visor!.

Here are first pictures of "Chuck glider/Proflie glider" model that i built today.
Model Specs:
Scale 1:67th
Wingspan 15"
Length 32"
Weight few ounces AUW.
It's to be used to properly figure/determine CG balance point for my BIG Concorde model
It will also be hand launched and flown to see how it handles as a "Proof of Concept"
Once this prototype is successful then i'm planning to make 2ft wing span model powered by twin 50-55mm EDF Hyperfly from GPlanes. That model will be exact copy at 1/4 scale for my BIG one to be build soon.

Wow didn't knew it was 2 years already since i stated this thread and made my last on May of 2010!
Concorde have made huge progress since, fuselage was made out of white and green insulation foams, nose was made droop-able with scale retractable visor, fin was also made from foam. Fuselage was made in 2010 and since then i had been on look out for good source of drawings for the wing's construction as first set of drawings i got were not factory ones but almost as good as factory ones yet it lacked on couple of key areas compared to when i got myself actual Anglo French's factory aerodynamic 3-view drawings. Model was also on hold in favour of Super Constellation model that needed all the attention it could get. Now Constellation is almost complete plus wanted to take advantage of this Victoria day long weekend. I started to make the wing ribs yesterday, it was long and daunting task to do by hand but it's all done now. Initially i had traced ribs from factory drawing on to sheets of wax paper, all of them plus i had to generate 3 ribs myself as they were lacking in the outboard and also in inner wing. Before calling it a nite, i had transferred them on sheets of balsa wood. they will be cut, sanded to right profile.

Today's progress...
This Concorde could be at Chatham this year, lets see where she will in terms of build by that time...
Spars were made, interlocking was creatred for spars to join the root rib, wing's main structure is being made now...

One wing is all framed up now, i have been working on it since 2pm today and it's 11pm now.
So far looking great but i should have used 1/4" balsa sheet or 1/8" lite ply sheet to make the wing root ribs, 3/32" is just to thin for this wing type!, it's flexing quite a bit even after wing is framed up now.
I couldn't able to make the 2 spars and 2 ribs today as i was manually making interlocking notches multiple times on these spars and ribs which really consumed most of the time, good that my dremel rotary tool with cutting bit came in handy after installing 3rd rib to speed up the process other wise i would have 3/4 ways in terms of framing up this wing by this time.
First 2 pictures were taken as 5pm, after 3hrs of working on this wing today.
Second 2 were taken after 3rd rib was installed
Remaining were taken at 1055pm just after full wing frame was complete.

Today i met with another scratch builder from other forum at my place when he came to buy my Joe Bridi's Shrike Commander kit, he was astonished and literally blown away by this model and my S Connie, it was great meeting another scratch builder as our breed is on dieing scale due to 95% ARF flyers out there...
After Chris left i managed to dry assemble tail and aft fuselage section with rest of the structure, here she is with full fuselage and right side wing...
