cheap ducted fan for 540 size brushless
Has anyone seen the bond movie were he jumps in a jet ice boat and hauls butt across the ice..if not its cool, sorry this isnt about a plane but you guys are the best to ask.
I plan on building a electric ducted fan iceboat and have the motor and parts to do it besides the duct and fan. I see a couple at hobby lobby but none say the 540 size (car) motors will fit. The motor is a 4800kv brushless.

Hi, what size fan are you looking for..Midi fans I think are 90 mm and probably can take that 540 motor you are talking about. I've got a 3-3.5 inch glo engine powered fan from a Kyosho F-86
runs great. There are few cheap ducted fans...WeMoTec and Kyosho and Kress are your choices...GWS are cheap but small to me....anything else is big bucks...
