Default EDF F/A-18

this is a great looking EDF F-18. This F/A-18 can be converted to a turbine engine. this is the website. http://www.ductedfans.com/jets_elect...90x2_grey.html
It either comes painted or unpainted. If anyone has this type of plane, tell me some facts about it.

Default RE: EDF F/A-18

Those are the Schreiner FA-18's and they are both large and expensive. The model pre finished is around $900-$1000 and you will need either a turbine, a 120mm single EDF fan setup or twin 90mm setups. Each 90mm power plant is around $1000 to include the batteries, so for a twin, you are talking $3000, minus radio, hardware, chargers and accessories...it is quite an investment.

Also, while those models are nice, thaey are nearly impossible to get as the manufacturer has difficulty shipping them to vendors. I know the one you were looking at was at ductedfans.com and I know that the owner Morse has been trying to get them in for some time and has a backorder list you need to get on to get one, that is, if the manufacturer ever ships.

Speed...100-150+mph(with turbine) . The kit is glass and CF. Any more questions? Let me know. Mfgr website is http://www.schreiner-gfk-modell.de/index_e.html

Carl
