Bungee launch pin on plane location
If someone can tell me where to put the pin in my HET F-18 jet for bungee launch. Should it go close to the nose or more back by the air intakes? I have never used one, this is why I ask. I ususally lauch it in a area where there is a slope blow me . But I recently crashed another plane due to a bad hand launch.

A tow hook point that is closer to the CG will give you a higher launch, means the plane will gain height relatively faster. If the tow hook is nearer to the nose the launch will be at a more shallow angle. My Micro Jet's tow point is pretty far in front of the CG and she launches fine. I use a piece of ply to strengthen the area and only a wood screw for the ring to secure to. Again, I have a lot of foam to screw into also.
