and yeah mav thats why the tj-100 installed actually performs exactly the same the p-60 in the A-4, sometimes even better pending on the turbione build weight. it has lighter weight for its installed power. you can have 400 pounds of thrust to a 10 pound thrust fan, but if takes 399 pounds of motor battery weight to get it your no better off, and even worse at slow speed part throttle cause that big pack to post big numbers is all still there at slow speed. But if you want to borrow terminal velocity for high speed runs the weight is handy! other wise most physics equations will tell you your lucky to get 80 percent of your efflux in velocity, and thats if ya got a clean airframe. but archimedes tells us a lever can amplify our work load, so if you borrow terminal velocity as a lever you can always stretch the truth as well! lol

vary true barry...if i had wanted to just make my bandit electric before all the install of turbine parts and build i would have used different gear less wood and built more for lightness then for turbine streangth. like you and tam said, no matter how light or heavy a stall is always bad in the end. a lot of people think that converting a bandit that was made for turbine to electric is crazy. for me its less problems in the end. with a lighter airframe and p-60 compared power i know with out a dought it will fly lighter and land nicer with the setup. and take off should just be 150 to 200 rollout thats it. shure i could have used a bvm fan but the hole setup would make the bandit to heavy out the gate. im not looking to go 200 mph but just to have something this size be fun and less problems to fly at my small field. guess im crazzy...lol

i know in the end the tj100 will work great in the bandit just need to get ride of a littel more weight. after that a twin tj100 f-4 or f-14 would be sweet.lol

thanks...mike
