Default nitro OS .25 VF

Hello guys....

A friend of mine has never used a nitro OS 25 VF or FV, something like that...... it says in the box FOR DUCTED FAN...

Does it mean I can use it with a little jet that works with ducted fan???? If so... where can I get one???? I have seem a couple of 40 nd 90 sizes but nothing small as a 25 size....

what do you think????

Midwest/Kress Axiflow 20. Roughly a 4" dia fan for K/B 20 and OS 25. The OS takes a Wisard pipe and works best with a OS 40 carb and fan air pressure. Runs real nice and does a good job with the Midwest Jetster and the Ziroli line of small ducted fan planes (F15, F4, Viggen).

Be advised that a Wemotec Midi EDF at 3.5" dia puts out a lot more thrust then the Axiflow/OS25.

Wow, thanks for the info,

I am completely new to ducted fan planes....

I do not have any information on the web about the wirsard pipe, neither the axiflow 20......

Also, I still do not find where I can find the small 25 size ducted fan planes..... I found the website ziroliplanes.com but I do not find anything small...

Could you please provide me with some links to read more about this???? I would be really interested in putting together a plane with ducted fan 25 size.... I would use the OS 25 VF because I can get one second hand in new conditions....

You may have to ask if Ziroli has any of the old plans. The pipe is a Macs product. Midwest Jetster kits can still be found for sale on various internet sites.

Try the Jets forum in the "wet" section. You can post a wanted ad right in the forum. Somebody will have a Midwest/Kress fan for that engine.
Be prepared to pay as some guys think this stuff is golden....
Sean, couple of years ago, I built Ziroli's He-162 he designed for 3.5 EDF and mounted a Midwest RK20 w. OS 25VF instead of the electric
fan. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures but it flew great and was quite fast. You can get the plans for this plane from Model
Airplane News. This is a larger version to give you an idea of what it looks like.
One guy in our club put his OS25VF in a Simitar and ran a prop on it.
