Default Exceed F-35: Breaking In Motor

Hi ,

I just purchased an F-35 from Nitro Planes. I was wondering if any of you have any experience with this jet. How do I go about breaking in this engine? Do I need to? Thanks!

Yetti,

I hear the this f35 is a great little plan. I have been thinking of picking it up myself, so be sure to let us know how it turns out for you. All the pros and cons.
Since it includes the power package (esc and motor) and the motor is brushless, it does NOT require a break in like a traditional brushed motor. The only reason to break in a brushed motor is to seat the brushes (usually done in water). brushless as you can tell, does not have brushes...therefore does NOT need to be broken in.

Though, be sure to check everything is working properly before its maiden flight...
-fan blade clears fan housing (some RTF planes rub and make noise)
-confirm esc is working properly
-range check radio
-controls are moving in correct direction to radio input
-control throws are correct ( better to be on low rates til you get used to plane)

Hope this helps!
