RE: catapult plans?
I posted some details for a bungee launcher on my RCGroups Blog here [link=http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/member.php?u=142506]CaseySP's Blog[/link]
I only use it on prop foamies - from 450g Alfa warbirds to an 800g GWS FW190, but the basic design could be scaled to whatever your purposes require. The key change would be to lengthen the shock cord for heavier models. I got my shock cord from a local camping store - they sell it by the meter. The ends at the ends of the shock cord can also be bought from the camping store, but I made my own up. For heavier models (more bungee tension) you may also need heavier rings then I used.
It also doesn't have a pedal release, rather it uses a straightened tent peg that you swivel around with your foot for simplicity and portability.
Edit: - Image fixed.
