Gday this is the second jumbo im building out of foam, i like to use it cause you can get every curve and scale feature. Power will be two gws 40 units brushed for now and lipo power. features retracting gear and flaps simulataneously.

If you insist on using brushed motors at first, at least install the third motor wire. That way, when you do switch to the BL's, the proper wiring will already be in place and you might save your self the time and aggravation of adding a third wire

AT last finally got motors!! what a wait..... and thats not all,.. these little units are beauties and sound great too, i installed the motors and unfortunately was only able to obtain one speed controller for both motors ( i know its wrong to do) but! i went ahead had to prove it would fly, late evening 5knot breeze powered up and off it rolled 10meters into a headwind liftoff slowly but surely and from behind the wings flexed slightly under the weight and that beautiful familiar picture was set as it lifted up and crabbed abit into the wind (AWSOME sight) at 15ft with both motors at full power the assymetric thrust caused the jet to pull slightly to the right i managed to get it back level for a moment but as the motors warmed up the assymetry became worse at around 20 ft i closed the throttles and crashlanded, the aircraft was ok but the right engine ripped away smashing the fan! @#$. So excellent it flew! but believe it or not they do not make the 40mm edf anymore SO IM SCREWED!!!! with this pretty plane.

Very nice job! The plane looks great. I thought i might be able to help you as i picked up a pair of brushed fan units on ebay (for what reason i don't know) and have no use for them but the outside diameter is 66mm. Sorry.

I know what you mean. Scratch building isn't always as much fun as it's supposed to be. I scratch built the scaled-up 8ft span Kougar in the pic and after two failed maiden flights with the second crash landing tearing off my custom built shock absorbing landing gear, we discovered that in the process of taking the pictures it was bumped on the ground too hard and the fuel pick-up klunk was rammed forward which caused it to run out of fuel shortly after takeoff.

Awsome plane damn big, but clean lines i like it, sorry its gone now that would really hurt. Good to see you commitment to larger planes, ive actually been wanting to do this for a while now and i think its time,im gonna start producing the 747-200 out of styrofoam as a basic kit thats 100% scale andcan be built on at owners descretion, there is nothing out there and many folks are wanting one so its gonna come to fruition in the next couple of weeks ready for the new year.</p>

It was repaired and flew very well actually. That was almost twenty years ago so yes, it is gone now. Gave it to a freind that piled it in and destroyed it. Sounds like an interesting project you are embarking upon. With your creative talent, it should be a nice looking model. Good luck with it!
