Another of my project I have built some years back as an experiment before building the same but much larger jet turbine powered,

"Touch of Magenta". To make sure it would fly, the safest way was building simple foamy test bed, powered by 3.8 Kw/10S unit with

some 1 to 1.5 ratio size and power wise, comparing to my turbine version. Being own design scratch build, the C of G is always the main

concern with models like this so it is better to be safe than sorry. Simple 2ch. Elevon controls with no Rudder, only extra channel for the

nose steering makes this 7 feet long model run like on rails. The 90mm multi bladed fan with specially designed thrust tube is giving it the best

static/dynamic thrust after bit of experimenting. 4-5Ah packs are used to give me 3-4 min flight times. Not the fastest, but confortably

reaching 200km/h in level flight which is more than realistic scale-wise for such a large sleek air frame. Few pics flying today in perfect calm.

Jofro, I like it, looks like something Lockheed would have done in the 1960's - 1970's. Any inflight pics? Paul

I prefer static pics with human interest as above, rather then flying dots in the sky unless you get someone who knows what he is doing like the last few. Wish I could do it while I'm flying.

With my new batteries I'm getting 4+Kwatts power, easily taking off the pretty harsh and wet grass strip at my new flying venue.

Latest action from Coffs, hardly audible, love it!

Delta's day out, dwarfed next to the 10-Kwatt roarer.
Someone suggested I should call this model "Whisper", it's so silent, so I re-name it from "SM 90 Proto" to "Silent Night Whisper". Another magic flying day off the grass.

Sound of the whisper.

I had a nasty encounter with the "DRONE" today, head on collision while I was landing my large delta EDF jet, it was sitting stationary in front of the pilots box. definitely not a safe place to park any model while others fly fixed wings.
I have managed to re-rotate with the burst of power after the impact and go around, the drone being thrown some distance.
The owner became later very aggressive and abusive despite my apology.
Crap happens in this hobby, when you least expected, but, it was only a drone.
Soon after there were two more nasty crashes in the middle of the strip nose-dives in both cases.

Back in action after the collision.
Lot more fun today with the quick nose mop up job after the collision before I'll fix it properly. She is a tough nut for a foamy!

Bit of action with the 10S powered "Delta Proto" off the very wet strip today.
