HET F18 Setup
 

Has anyone out there set up HET F18 with a Himaxx 2025-5300 ?

I'm wondering if a Himaxx 2025-5300 with a Wemotek 480 fan unit and a 10 Cell 1950 4/5 FAUP setup will work.

According to Fan Calc the numbers aren't that great.

Any feedback concerning setups for the HET F18 would be GREATLY appreciated !!

Mega 16/15/2, CC45, TP 3s2p 2100 (or 10 faup 1950's). Knock you on your ***** preformance.

Rich,

The Himax doesn't have the power required to get the FA-18 to fly worth a darn...you will burn the motor up on the load that the Minifan 480 will put on it. Stick with a Mega 2T or equivelant, 45amp ESC and your faups and you will do fine with blistering performance.

Thanks Guys,

Spoke to Himaxx and was told the same thing.
I'm going with a Typhoon EDF 2W which is what Markos @ Warbirds RC recommends.
Hope this thread helps anyone with the same questions.

hi, i have 2 het rc d/f jets with the wermotech mini fan and a scorpio eurofighter typhoon with 2 knotronics fun 480-33 motors to put in. i was wondering if anywone is using these motors and what the amps draw was. thanks

The 2w20 will make a screamer on it. I will testify to that. I have it in my F20 Tigershark, at Carl's suggestion, metered at 698 watts on 4s power. :D
