There's a wait list for this kit.

Mediq,

Good look F4. What power are you using? Are you using a bungee to launch? Or ROG?

mediq,

How do you get this beasty off the ground? Bungee, ROG or hand launch? What is the AUW?

How does it fly? I'm guessing the twin MF480's develop about 32~36 oz of thrust combined. What kind of duration? It looks like 4 minute flights, maybe 5 with throttle management.

The average is 5-7 min and I use a ramp with bungee set at 17lbs of pull

I have read Mediq's reports on other forums and he has built one heck of a bird!!! Super light, Retract capable and a bullet on a twin 3S setup and weighed around 3lbs without batteries...very light for a twin! Markos at www.Warbirds-RC.com had them around $210 I think with shipping included in the US, but his store is down until after the holidays. For our fellow Aussie brothers down under, the site lisaspud quoted is great for them and I am glad to see they are spreading the wealth around, per say!!! ;)

This looks like a great model and compared to the F-16 that potentially "could be" their best but had initial mfg problems, the F-4 appears to be a fun and un-eventful build. Anyway, this is one of the first twin EDF ARF production models available in the performance class of jets and I am glad to see it. I have had mine pushed to the corner to finish the F-16 and now the K&A MIG-15, but with all this talk'in, ya all are really gonna make me start on mine , aren't ya???!!![X(]

I've got a couple of flights on my HET F-4 and it rocks! Speeds are between 90-100mph on HET 2W motors with a 3S pack for each motor. Flight times average around 5 to 6 minutes. It's a nice flyer with no bad habits.

Here's a couple of pics of my HET F4. I stripped off the factory applied silver covering and used light grey and white UltraCote and a little paint here and there to dress it up. It looks great in the air!
