Default first flight(in 6 years)

well to start off i got started in r/c back in 95 with a spirit glider and after many crashes and repairs over 2 years time it was too heavy for me to fly safely. well after reading many of your posts about trainers i went out and bought a slow stick and i must say it was well worth the 35.00 price tag. it is runnig with my origanal radio so it has standard survos i was wondering if any one knows where i might find some cheaper lighter sevos for it. oh the radio is a futaba thanks in advance.

Be careful what you ask for when you say "cheap." Cheap is not inexpensive. If you run into some servos that cost half of what all the other brands do at the same price, you might want to avoid them.

Good, inexpensive brands are GWS and Hitec. The Hitec HS55 or GWS Naro should be ideal for your situation, and shouldn't cost more than $20 per servo. If that's too expensive, you're in the wrong hobby The little stuff costs more.

GWS Pico BB servos would be fine, as would Bluebird BMS 306 @ $17.50

I found some 9 gram micro servos on Ebay that were manufactured by Dragan Fly Innovations and they were going for ten bucks. I couldn't resist so I bought some and yanked out my GWS servos in my estarter for a newer model and replaced them with these Dragan Fly servos. I figured that if they were worthless, that I could afford to lose the E-Starter since I had moved on to higher performance planes anyway. After about 25 flights, I am having no trouble with them nor have I seen any difference in performance. Has anyone else tried these servos?
