Flown a flew 3ch pertols before but now want to have a go at electric maybe a 2ch to begin with down the park. any advice on flying techniques

A nice 2-channel airplane like a Firebird or Aerobird will teach you how an airplane is REALLY controlled.
In the little bit of flying experience I've had with simple 2-channel V-tail park flyers, I noticed that if you back off the throttle, initiate the turn, then punch it, the plane turns much tighter.
