Got a new FB Scout, nose dived first flight, but did fly before this. There after it will only nose dive when launched. There is no obvious sign of weight shift in the fuse, nothing appears to have come lose, no bent wing or tail, nothing is broken, and control surfaces are level. Overall, everythings looks as it should as best I can tell.
Any ideas on what is wrong anyone? If you can help or direct me to an answer I would sure appreciate it.
Thanks,
SB

I had the same problem until I realized the carbon fiber tube was bent down where the tube meets the main body. This happened after a hard nose-in crash...Solution: If nothing is cracked, just bend the c-fiber rod up where in joins the body until it pops back into place.

I didn't notice that, but found that the tail was pointing up at it's leading edge. I brought this down dramtically by tightening the screw in front and loosening the rear. I am sure I will have to experiment with it, but I think this was the problem. It seems like it loosned after the crash on first run, but it wasn't stripped. We will see tomorrow...
Thanks for the reply...

Hey Charleybucket..
You were right about the carbon rod. It had snalpped out of place as well. No more to report here but bad weather for flying.
Thanks for posting that Charley

Another possiblity for a nose dive is when launching the Scout with the wind. You really need to launch it against the wind or at least a 45 degree angle.
Good luck!

Hey Greg thanks for the reply, and I liked your website/hangar page BTW. You are hopelessly addicted I see, and seeing that worries me for my sake. I really do not need another addiction to feed!
I have done that for sure, but this is all my fault, not the plane's. When the weather lets up, I will try again. Im just a greenhorn trying to figure this out. I will get it to fly because I am determined, and that always works for me.
