Thinkin about getting a Mini Ultrastick for my first airplane, anyone think that not such a good idea?
I can fly around fine on the simulator, but the airplane still kinda fly's me... I know how to make it go around and all but I cant put it exacally were I want it or land (on the Sim)
I've got all the electronics I need: Futaba 9C, Kokam 2000mah Lipo 15C discharge, 4 Eflite micro servos, Park 400, 6.6:1 gearbox, and a 20A ESC... I just need to decide on what plane to get!
So what yall think???

I'd start with a foam airplane first to make sure you have the basics down. If you like the Mini Stick I'd purchase one and build it but wait until you are sure you have your skills down. You don't want to wreck that nice looking plane on the first flight. I'd look at the GWS E-starter, Slow Stick, or the E-flite Cessna to start with.

The stick is no way a first beginner model..You'd do better with a standard trainer type with lots of dihedral. Since you have a slow stick, your set to learn to fly with that.
If your buddy is not an instructor, you might want to find one in the area.
