Default What electric setup should i have for a certain size of a plane?

I am curently working on getting the optic 6 and i like building planes that have between 20-40in wspan. I need help on figuring out what size battery and motor depending on voltage amp rating stuff like that plus servos and speed controllers. This setup will be for a brushed setup. Like a 400size motor or a 200size motor thanks. Iam asking for help on how to decide what would be a good brushed setup for however big your plane is thanks.

THanks.

basically you need to figure out how many lbs you'll have for your TOW (take off weight), and then figure what style of flying you like to do, and then go from there.

50-150w per lb, and then once you have that figured out you'll need to figure the size of the ESC and the size of the battery based on that info =)

That's right. Watts/pound is a good starting point.

This article will explain a lot!
